Samuel Rich, PA-C: Personalized Care on Lopez Island
Samuel Rich is a dedicated healthcare provider at UW Medicine Primary Care on Lopez Island. Sam is deeply connected to the Lopez Island community, not only through his passion for outdoor activities such as photography, hiking, backpacking, and skiing, but also through his commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized care.
Sam believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing physical ailments while also considering the mental and emotional aspects of each patient’s well-being. He views every patient as unique, with distinct needs, values, and preferences, and strives to empower them to actively manage their health.
Sam is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and earned his medical education from the University of Iowa Physician Assistant Program in 2017. A PA-C, or Physician Assistant-Certified, is a healthcare professional trained to diagnose and treat illnesses as well as provide preventive care under the supervision of a licensed physician.

We’re thrilled to share that Preicy will be returning to Lopez Island this summer. In addition to Preicy being available via telemedicine visits on Mondays through Thursdays, we are thrilled to share that she will be returning to Lopez Island for in-person visits for one-week intervals throughout the summer. If you’ve appreciated her care before, this is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect. Preicy offers compassionate care and manages both routine check-ups and chronic conditions, ensuring continuity of care.
