The disease continues to spread in our county and even more in adjacent counties. Health systems are being challenged to remain open. Over 90% of those cases are in unimmunized individuals. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated are susceptible to infection. People are most infectious in the 48 hours PRIOR TO the onset of symptoms. Vaccination is highly effective at preventing both hospitalization and death.
