Please Give Now to Annual CWMA Membership Drive to Support Lopez Healthcare

Lopez residents recently should have received a letter about the Catherine Washburn Medical Association (CWMA) annual Membership Drive. The Lopez Island Hospital District (LIHD) urges everyone to support this essential partner in the island’s healthcare system. Donations can be made either by mail (PO Box 309, Lopez Island) or entered online via the CWMA website: https://catherinewashburnmedical.org/donate/. 

Lopez Island Medical Clinic couldn’t exist without the financial support of the local community. Since opening its doors in 1974, the Clinic building has been equipped, maintained, and expanded with islanders’ membership dues, gifts, and contributions to CWMA. Additionally, CWMA was instrumental in helping Lopez Island Physical Therapy (LIPT) become an independent entity and continues to offer financial assistance for its facility.  

There are a variety of ways you can help. Whether your support is a one-time gift, annual membership donation ($30 per household), or designation to one of the CWMA’s investment funds, your generosity makes a powerful difference in sustaining healthcare right here on Lopez. 

Our two organizations’ partnership (LIHD managing tax revenue to fund services and CWMA maintaining and improving facilities) is vital to ensure high-quality, island-appropriate care.
