Health Insurance Update for San Juan County Residents: Insurance Access FAQs

San Juan County, Washington: Please take a moment to read this important message from San Juan County regarding recent changes to the Washington State Health Benefit Exchange insurance providers for county residents.

What We Know
This fall, LifeWise and Regence BlueShield Health Plans of Washington announced their departure from the Washington State Health Benefit Exchange. This leaves only one insurance provider, Coordinated Care Corporation (which operates under the brand name Ambetter) for San Juan County residents who obtain individual health insurance plans through the Exchange. The change will take effect on January 1, 2026.
